A popular South African radio and club DJ has been murdered in the nation's economic hub Johannesburg, triggering widespread grief across a country struggling with persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was attacked in the downtown area on the afternoon of Tuesday.
Officials stated the 40-year-old presenter was confronted by a trio of assailants, with one began shooting at him before fleeing on foot.
The reason behind the shooting remains unclear and no suspects have been apprehended have been made, as per the official statement.

Law enforcement indicated that Stock was attacked as he was departing from a premises in the vicinity of the city center landmark.
