Netflix Chooses Perfect Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season
Baroque Works is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that the talented performer has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. The role has the ability to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. Escola, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the initial comic and anime.
This performer is joined by multiple new cast members tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, including chief the main antagonist, brought to life by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Though the role is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this represents a notable change in the placement of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.
