In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an special katana alongside multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also introduces the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
